Airfield Lakes offers two lakes for carp fishing and is located close to the Waveney Valley in a peaceful setting and stocked with plenty of great carp. The current record catch is a 48lb 8oz carp. This is a very relaxed and friendly fishery that is family run and their goal is to offer some of the best day ticket carp fishing in the Norfolk countryside.

The key lake is Mustang Lake and is on five acres of land that is within private farmland. They are well stocked with well over 200 carp hand picked to offer plenty of excitement for anglers of all skills. They put in a variety of different carp such as mirrors, leathers and even rare blue carp so that the angler is always kept guessing on what kind of carp they’ll be pulling out of the lake.

The depth of Mustang Lake ranges from 7 feet to 13 feet and there are several clay bars and some humps on the bottom to make the fishing a lot more interesting. They also have 15 different types of reeds and some lily p ads that make for some great stalking experiences.

The Spitfire Pool which use to be a cattle drinking pond has been transformed into a 1.5 acre specialty carp fishing pond with old English carp. This is a special little pond and it is only open for 10 weeks out of the year. Five are in spring and the other five are open during autumn. Only three anglers are allowed on it at a time. This pond is challenging and will give any experienced angler a run for their money.

Different than a lot of fisheries, Airfield even offers tutoring for those who are fist timers or those who would like to polish their carp fishing skills. they offer one on one ten hour tutorials that cost ?110.00 that is well worth the time and also includes a 12 hour day ticket to do some carp fishing on Mustang Lake. It also includes all the bait and tackle needed. Groups of two for a 10 hour session costs just ?160.00. To experience the tutoring you will need to book it in advance.
