Hawkhurst Fish Farm is a lovely and tranquil little getaway for carp fishing and just relaxing. Great for the serious angler, pleasure angler as well as the match angler. This scenic little complex surrounds a nice cafe that overlooks the Main Lake and has planted gardens as well as waterfalls. Much wildlife is present as well such as ducks, swans, kingfishers, swallows, swifts and much more. They have onsite toilets and showers along with a variety of shops that include a fully equipped tackle and bait shop.

Main Lake is a 4 acre lake that is a pretty shallow body of water that holds golden orfe, tench, grass carp as well as catfish up to 80 pounds. There beautiful water fowl that grace the lake and landscaped islands. Weeping willows grace the island and cast peaceful shadows over the lake. The average depth of the lake is about five feet. The banks are grassy and there are hard paths that lead down to the banks. Good spot for the serious angler looking to catch some serious sized fish in a peaceful environment.

Dove Lake is a smaller much more intimate lake for those who want to do some carp fishing that is more private and gives the the feel that they are more part of nature. There are well established islands with a variety of different trees as well as rhododendrons. The lake is shallow and home to carp weighing up to 40 pounds as well as tench and golden orfe. Good spot for the experienced angler.

Specimen Lake is by membership only and it has its own car park and is completely private. It has a depth of 16 feet in some areas and is home to 20 to 30 pound carp and very large catfish weighing over 70 pounds. There is a nice mature island at the end where the lake is shallow and the lake is filled with reeds on the margins under the willows. Some very exciting fishing can be done at this lake.

Match Lake is what its name says, a match lake and it is predominately for carp fishing matches. So if you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful carp fishing area you might want to consider fishing at the Match Lake, it is definitely meant only for the more serious and experienced anglers. It can be booked for corporate fishing trips or just for a group of friends.

If you are new to carp fishing or your kids are then Junior Lakes are the perfect place for introducing the new angler to the world of fishing. There are a lot of smaller carp along with roach, tench, perch and rudd present here. All life jackets, wooden seats, tackle, bait and the like can be gotten from the bailiff if you don’t have your own.
